Linda Keen is Amerikaanse van geboorte. Ze woonde enkele jaren in Nederland, waar ze samen met haar man Aart de Waard de School voor Intuïtieve Ontwikkeling opzette. Ze schreef meerdere boeken over intuïtie, waarvan Intuïtieve ontwikkeling de bekendste is. Ze is te gast op de Onkruidbeurs en geeft een workshop in Nederland.

Where do you stand in life at this moment?

Life is amazingly exciting. I’m in my favorite movie and I am my favorite actress on this particular life’s stage.

Who are your heroes?

Barack Obama, the president of my country, is my biggest hero right now because he is trying to bring more humanitarian awareness to our chaotic and often-selfish system of government. President Obama’s wife, Michelle, is also my hero because she is so much herself and it doesn’t seem that anything could throw her off course or make her act like a phony. Other heroes of mine are Jesus, John Lennon, Hillary Clinton, Vincent van Gogh, Anne Frank, and Paramahansa Yogananda.

What are your sources?

Mother Earth and Father Sky. Literature, art, music.

What are the things you dream of?

I dream of helping to make a difference in our threatened world; of inspiring people to be themselves and take charge of their lives; to watch the planet turn towards healthier ways and become sustainable again; to watch my children continue to create exciting and happy lives. I also dream of singing in public more often and of playing more and more music. Of writing a bunch of really powerful and inspiring novels. I dream of finally learning those Irish fiddle tunes I set out to learn in the spring of 1977.

What is/are your talent(s)?

I have talent in working with people of all ages to help them find their inspiration and inner joy and strength. I especially love to help young people learn to appreciate who they are and what they can accomplish if they take themselves as seriously as they take everything around and outside of them. My talent also lies in inspiring people with my music and my writing. I know I can help others because I find it easy to love them, no matter how difficult they might believe they are or how many problems they might have.

What event has particularly made you to what you are now?

In 1977, having the courage to stay and make a life for myself in the Netherlands.

What do you wish to realize in any case before you die?

Realize who I am: pure joy

What are your motives?

To be totally true to myself while faithfully serving others.

What are the things you are dedicated to?

Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

What are you proud of?

My amazingly beautiful, kind, and creative children. The wonderful talents and accomplishments of my husband. The work I have been able to carry out in my life. My perseverance and optimism.

How do you relax? How do you recharge your battery?

I meditate, pray, laugh, talk to myself, walk, enjoy nature and animals, sing and play music, eat, watch movies, and enjoy my warm and fuzzy husband.

How do you want people to remember you?

Playful, joyous, loving life, loving others.

What are you grateful for?

Living on this planet with enough resources to be healthy and fulfilled; for my family and friends; for the parents I once had; for books, music, and laughter; for having a trusting relationship with the Divine; for all of my helpers, angels, and spiritual buddies in this universe.

What is your motto in life?

“Be who you are and say what you feel---because those who matter don’t mind, and those who mind don’t matter" (with thanks to its instigator, children’s book author, Dr. Seuss, who happens to have the same birthday as I do).
